Taskmaster 1 & 2
for Channel 4

Taskmaster was a huge hit for ‘Dave’ and was finally coming to the Channel it was always meant for…years after we idiotically rejected it. We needed to let fans of the show know about the channel move and explain the show’s eccentric premise to viewers who might not have heard of it before.

Series 1. The Terrible Mistake

After an on-air promo did the job of apologising for Channel 4’s error, we splattered zany tasks all over social media. Focusing on the functionality and usability of each platform, we were able to craft fun, challenging and altogether ridiculous tasks for viewers to have a crack at.

Hometasking

We created bespoke tasks for Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok which all could be attempted directly in the platforms, encouraging comments and shares as fans and non-fans alike wanted to one-up their mates.

We even made an Instagram filter where players could use their faces to take part in a number of challenges selected at random. Proper weird.

Winning

The social assets overperformed by 40% and we doubled the show’s audience.

Series 2. Taskmasterpiece

The Taskmaster was returning for another season and we wanted to celebrate the tyrant in his almighty glory. We commissioned works for art and a sculpture for the telly and needed a way to bring this campaign to life across social… Enter TikTok.

Hashtag Challenge

In a first-of-its-kind art-based hashtag challenge, we tasked the creative crowds on TikTok as well as influencers and talent to create artistic tributes inspired by Taskmaster – from a painting, sculpture, poem, serenade to a full transformation into Greg using makeup.

Task Complete

Over 300 million engagements proved that every formidable leader inspires great art.
