A selection of work
for Hi Mum, Said Dad

Before Channel 4, there was Hi Mum, Said Dad. A digital production and innovation company specialising in mobile tech. My role was leading teams in a creative producer capacity from conception through to delivery. Here are a few highlights.

100% Army Fit

100% Army fit is an Android application developed in collaboration with JWT. The app acts as a training aid for those working towards their Army Assessment or simply looking to improve overall fitness with the help of step-by-step video demonstrations and voice-over encouragement from real-life army instructors.

The app beat Nike+ to Huffington Posts Best Fitness App and won a RAD Award.

Cadbury Packtivation

Cadbury Dairy Milk went through a package re-design in late 2013 and each pack had a QR code on the back. We were tasked with conceiving and building a responsive website for all Cadbury Dairy Milk scans within a 2-week delivery timeline – the brief was that the destination should bring joy to the consumer.

We came up with a landing page that would work across mobile, tablet, and desktop with a small interaction for the user to “Swipe for joy” – Once the user swipes they are presented with a joyous (viral) video streamed from either Vine or YouTube.

Contiki Shout

The Contiki application provides passengers with tools that enhance the Contiki experience; promoting the brand and further cementing Contiki’s position as the world’s number 1 travel company for 18-35-year-olds.

Since its launch, the application has gone on to win a SMITTY (Social Media in Travel + Tourism Awards), MOMA, W3, and an FWA award.

Tantrum

The TANTRUM iPad application provides an amazing in-store experience catered to the brand’s key demographic with relevant style guide information, the latest news, trends, and nail designs. All content can be updated and moderated by a secure web CMS.

The application was installed on 12 iPads dotted around the TANTRUM London store in Westfield Stratford seamlessly integrating with the store’s layout and design.

I developed the concept, led the team, and even installed the iPads in the store itself... and I didn’t have one tantrum throughout.

Maynards Discovery Patch

A fun and inclusive app that is initiated by scanning the front of any pack.

Users are tasked to find 3D character pieces magically placed around their environment using augmented reality, reading the clues to help them guess what they have found.

The app is a literal realisation of the product positioning of discovery and offers a truly engaging experience for the whole family to enjoy, with each pack unlocking a new character to explore. Fun!
