for Channel 4

 

Black History is made all year round so why only celebrate it one month of the year? We wanted to celebrate black achievements on social with a calendar that could be downloaded, also pushing to events where black history could be made in the future.

 

Instagram

We launched the activity on Instagram with a motion graphics approach using text and stock imagery. This allowed our editors to quickly create video assets celebrating trailblazers from the black community. Viewers could then swipe to be redirected to a website we built which houses a downloadable calendar.

It was Channel 4’s most successful Instagram swipe-up campaign and picked up award wins at Promax and Creative Circle for the campaign and the activity continues to run throughout the calendar year.
