Innovative Digital, Social and Integrated Campaigns

I am a multi-award winning (BAFTA, D&AD, Cannes Lion, Broadcast Digital, Webby, Lovies, Creative Circle, Campaign Big, British Arrows, Drum DADI, IAB UK, MOMA, RAD, FWA, W3, SMITTY) Digital Director currently leading the digital team within Channel 4’s in-house creative agency, 4creative.

I manage a team of digital creatives working across our online advertising. I also develop creative ideas and strategic approaches for 4creative campaigns. The challenge was to raise our online output to match the standard of our TV and print work, whilst at the same time pulling these elements together for more effective, integrated campaigns.

My passion comes from originating or building on innovative, culturally potent and brilliantly creative ideas, using social media and emerging technologies to drive awareness and deeper engagement.

Since joining in 2014 we have won over 50 awards including a BAFTA for Digital Creativity and have been recognised within Campaign’s top 10 digital innovations for two years in a row.

I’ve spoken at various events including Sheffield DocFest, BBC Social Broadcasting, PR360, Spredfast Smart Social, RTS Digital Bristol Week and BAFTA Guru Live.

4Creative (Channel 4) – January 2013 / Present
Manage the creative, strategy and production of all digital and social output from Channel 4’s award winning in house agency 4creative, with a focus on integrated and innovative campaigns. The goal was to raise the quality of 4creative’s integrated, digital and social output to match the TV and print work. Since joining in 2014 we have won over 50 awards including a BAFTA for Digital Creativity and have been recognised within Campaign’s top 10 digital innovations two years in a row.

Hi Mum! Said Dad – October 2012 / December 2013

Client managed and creatively produced digital products and campaigns with a mobile first approach (Android, iOS, Windows). Lead the creative production of the ‘100% Army Fit’ app (built for The British Army in collaboration with Grey London) achieving Huffington Posts number 1 fitness app, beating the likes of Nike+ Running as well as many other top fitness applications.

Bloc Media – September 2009 / October 2012
Listed as one of the World’s Top 50 interactive agencies. This hybrid role combined creative development, client management, production and web/ game design and build. Allowing me to produce projects from brief and initial concept through to final delivery and client sign-off. I also had a key role in creatively leading, producing and managing a number of Bloc IP’s.

The Font Magazine – April 2007 / August 2007
My role was to design the pages of the magazine using Adobe inDesign, improving my knowledge of print design and aesthetics.
