Hunted was a channel 4 show exploring the terror that gay people in Russia have to face. The Dispatches documentary had unique access to vigilante gangs that target and abuse gay men and women in Russia using social media and dating websites as bait.
We wanted to bring the shocking themes of the programme to the attention of the UK by taking over dating networks in the same way. We set up a profile on tinder and once users swiped expecting to see more profile images, they instead were shown images displaying the results of the violence on the individuals attacked. The final image was a call to action, asking users to tune in and show their support.
